Jamie Vetter, Assistant Principal
My name is Jamie Vetter and I have been with the NYCDOE for the past 21 years. As an educator and a former early childhood teacher, I truly believe that the earliest years of schooling is where we make the most impressions on young minds. There is nothing more joyful to me than instilling a love of learning in a young child and watching them grow during the process.

Lorraine Farrauto, Assistant Principal
[email protected]
My name is Lorraine Farrauto. I have been District 24 strong since 1998, educating children, teachers, and families for over 25 years. In 2015, I joined the Mosaic Pre-K Centers Centers as a teacher, then I became a Site Coordinator for 7 years and now as an Assistant Principal. I want to share my excitement, dedication, and passion about this program with families and students. As an advocate for early childhood learning and experience, I believe play is the cornerstone of child development. Through play, children blossom socially and emotionally. We can learn so much through powerful interactions. I feel my journey has come full circle because I began as a New York City Public School Pre-K student in Brooklyn, NY and now I am among a wonderful program that supports and nurtures our future leaders.

In 2017, I joined the Department of Education, first as an instructional coordinator and later as the preschool special education coordinator, supporting pre-K centers citywide. Now, I’m eager to share my passion for early childhood education with Mosaic Pre-K, where every child, regardless of ability, deserves a nurturing environment to thrive and be celebrated.
